Weyerhaeuser manufacturing released a bad batch of Flak Jacket fire retardant coating. The formaldehyde did not properly bind and is causing aggravation to many home owners. Several have actually had to move out of their new homes until the problem is corrected.
Short term exposure to Formaldehyde exposure can cause a runny nose and irritated / watering eyes. Long term exposure can have more significant health risk including cancer.
